155mm Computerized Autonomous Truck MOunted System (ATMOS) Gun. Based on SOLTAM SYSTEMS 60 years of battle proven artillery systems, offering the advantages of high fire power, mobility and short response time, ATMOS is rapidly deployed and operable in difficult terrain. The modular ATMOS system is available with different qualified in-service trucks and gun caliber. The need for a light, long range, fast moving artillery has been recognized for the new battlefield environments, especially in countries, in which terrain conditions, roads, rails and bridges put limitations to weight and size of traditional Self Propelled Artillery Systems. Artillery units are called upon to engage a variety of targets, gapping long ranges, expecting counter battery fire within minutes of commencing fire. This induces the artillery to change position often and therefore causes large drop in towed guns availability and efficiency. The basic upper gun system is a Soltam System's most modern 52 caliber NATO Standard Gun System, achieving 41km. Being a modular system it can adopt any other Soltam's or customer's gun. The system comprises of any 6X6 or 8X8 serviceable truck with modified protected cabin and special supporting structure, APU driven hydraulic and electric systems, on board ammunition storage, ammunition handling and automatic loading systems.
